Babykyse med håndbroderi/ Hand Embroidered Baby Bonnet (or coif)

Follows tonight....
And at few days later...vandy, you are my memory ;) Sometimes I forget that there actually are people that are reading this blog. It's so specialized in theme, that sometimes I think that it is just my four closest friends and my mother that reads it ;D.
Here goes:

I have made a baby coif (picture1).
It is in three parts, here seen from the neck (picture2)

I have plant dyed both the blue silk lining, and the blue and redbrown garn. I really like the embroidery, but I think it woulb be better with at "flatter" embroidery on future coifs.
The silk was completely impossible to work with, it was swushing/skating/sliding around. The rest will be put away for a while .

It was very fun to make this, and it only took one night. I think I will be making more of these, but bigger that this one, that I think is a size 50 (small newborn). I didn't mean to make it this small, but I forgot the seam allowance.... . A good thing that I have so many friends that are pregnant/having little babies at the moment, what a great excuse for baby crafts

Natur og sært vejr/On nature and a strange climate

Picture1: Saturday it snowed. You should think that it is nothing special really, it is winter. But this year we have had absolutely no snow (at all!), so I hurried out to capture the moment (the snow was gone by mid day next day).
Climate changes....I am a little worred about the plants in my allotment garden, that needs quite a long period of frost to be able to sprout, will they even shoot this year...??

Picture2: I have been to the forrest nearby a take a lot of pictures, I love the colours nature have right now (allthough it is tecnically the colours of late autumn, right now everything should be frozen and covered in snow).
Picture3: A scarf? A shrug? The patten and the colours on this tree makes me want to knit or nalbind something similar.
The lace pattern in mole grey and cappucino nuances
- with a moss green contrast.
A delicate light blue to accentuate
A deep frayed burgundy and brown to emphazise.
Picture4: A blanket? A winter skirt? Look at those colours.
Reddish brown with an almost rosy hue, ratteling, decomposing leaves.
Dark green, stout and proud pines,
The discreet greyish nuances of trees in winter rest
- and the soil, where the water ran, that is a deep shiny blackish purple.

I have been very active. I have sown and altered clothing and thought out stuff, and I have been out photographing nature. The strangely mild weather we have, makes for great photo opportunities.

Picture1: I have sewn a single viking thing. A hooded cape dyed with birch leaves and iron, and with an onion schale coloured edging with purple embroidery.
